3D Printer

Adding New Workbench Equipment

We have added a 3D printer to our workbench. The ability to quickly develop a 3d model and print it for prototyping is a game changer. We wanted to design and print enclosures for quick prototyping.

Upon research, we found that Creality's Ender-3 V3 CoreXZ 3D printer checked all the boxes. Ender-3 V3 CoreXZ is the latest addition to Creality's Ender-3 lineup. We pre-ordered on their official website and received it 3 weeks later. Creality was generous to give us 2 free PLA filaments and a filament drier at a discounted price.

Ender-3 V3 CoreXZ has a max printing speed of 600mm/s and 20000mm/s² max acceleration compared to its predecessors with ~250mm/s max printing speed and  ~2500mm/s² max acceleration speed on average. We printed a Benchy model and it took about ~14 minutes to complete compared to ~28 minutes from its predecessors on average.

We are looking forward to utilising the 3D printer for quick prototyping of our hardware products.
