Company Secretary

In Malaysia, according to the Companies Act 196, Section 139A, it is mandatory to hire a company secretary. In compliance, we appointed Boss Boleh Sdn Bhd as our company secretary.

 Boss Boleh is a cloud company secretary, a one-stop online platform where one can request secretarial services in their dedicated client web portal, sign off on documents online using digital signatures, store SSM documents on the cloud and access them anytime, anywhere. They provide 3 subscription plans (startup, basic and ultimate) for companies at different stages of growth based on the company's secretarial service needs and additional service requests are charged separately upon request with straightforward pricing.

 We chose a digital company secretary instead of a traditional one to save time, with the former all our communication, registration, service requests, and document authorizations are done entirely online. The documents are stamped with the secretary's authorized signatory aka CTC (Certified True Copy) and are posted via courier to our office in 1-3 working days for official usage. We did our company incorporation with Boss Boleh in the year 2023. The entire process took about 2 weeks to complete, and all documents and agreements were signed online, making the process easy and efficient. 

In addition, Audit and Taxation services were provided by Boss Boleh's partners upon request for a reasonable price. For a start-up company like us, this was very helpful. 

Furthermore, they sent us timely reminders on company-related matters, such as the submission of Form E for the year 2023 and Annual Compliance (Annual Return, Beneficiary Ownership) for the year 2024. Their guidance via WhatsApp and phone calls on audit and taxation helped us understand the process better. As a General Manager, I managed to prepare the company's accounting on time for financial statements, audits and tax submissions and avoided any unforeseen penalties.
